Princebuild, Princeenergy and Princeclean staff and associates took to the streets of King’s Lynn to complete the 10km race to raise over £4,500 for the two charities.

For many of the team this was their first ever running event and a significant amount of effort went into training. For others this is the 3rd time they have taken on a 10k as part of the Princebuild team and they have helped and supported the less experienced team members.

The race route was enjoyed by all with scenic sections along the river Ouse and into the park just outside the town centre. Support along the route was excellent, and several family members and other members of staff were stationed along the route cheering the team on. All finishers received a t-shirt, goody bag and a medal as a memento of their achievements.

Some of the company’s key customers, suppliers and sub-contractors kindly agreed to sponsor the team’s race t-shirts and in return had their company logos featured on the back of the shirts. The shirts were generously sponsored by; The Energy Cell, Beecal Electrical, Chris Groome Decorating, Premiair, HBP Systems, Curo Wealth Management, Kamarin Computers, King of Flooring and Mindray (uk) Ltd.

Many other donations were received to help the team surpass their fundraising target and they are very grateful to everyone who contributed.

Matthew Pudney, Director, who also took part in the event commented “This is the third year we have taken on a 10k race to raise money for charity and it’s great to see so many taking part and also supporting the runners. Not only have the team raised a fantastic amount for our chosen charities they have also worked really well together throughout training and during the race to support each other in achieving their goals.”
