Overview
Princebuild successfully completed the refurbishment of the Level 3 Back of House (BOH) security/staff area at Lakeside Shopping Centre, ensuring an enhanced and more functional workspace for security personnel and staff. This refurbishment focused on modernising key staff facilities, creating a more comfortable and efficient environment.
Scope of Work
The project involved comprehensive upgrades to several essential areas, including:
- Locker Room: Replacement of worn-out flooring and general refurbishment.
- Quiet Room: Improvements to enhance relaxation and comfort for staff.
- Kitchen/Breakout Area: Refurbishment to provide a modern and inviting space.
- Female Toilet: Full refurbishment to improve usability and hygiene.
- Male Toilets: Expansion to create a larger, more functional space, accommodating more users.
Additionally, key water-saving features were integrated to enhance efficiency and sustainability:
- Non-concussive wash basin taps installed in male and female toilets to prevent water wastage.
- Cistermiser system fitted in the urinals to regulate water flow and prevent unnecessary filling.
- Dual flush toilets (4L and 6L) installed to optimise water usage.

The successful completion of the Level 3 BOH Security Refresh has significantly improved the working environment for security and staff at Lakeside Shopping Centre. The modernised and expanded facilities provide greater convenience and comfort, while the improved layout, particularly in the male toilets, ensures better accessibility and functionality.
